We are looking for a skilled and caring School-Based Sign Language Interpreter. You will help deaf or hard-of-hearing students communicate effectively and fully participate in their education.
Responsibilities- Translate spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa.
- Assist students in the classroom and during school activities.
- Work with teachers, staff, and parents to support student needs.
- Help prepare educational materials.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow ethical guidelines.
- Certification in Sign Language Interpretation (RID/NAD or equivalent).
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
- Experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
