JANITOR (FULL TIME) – SSC Services For Education

Location:

Aurora University, 347 South Gladstone Avenue, Aurora, IL 60506.

Hours:

4:15 pm – 12:15 am, full‑time. Days may vary. Pay: $15.00 per hour. Online applications only.

• Preferred: 2+ years of previous custodial experience.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and then restores furniture to correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment, sanitizes all surfaces, and follows the eight‑step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
