Get Involved! A Day in the Life of an Operation Christmas Child Seasonal Warehouse Dock Worker. Serve with Samaritan's Purse to support Operation Christmas Child (OCC) Processing Centers with seasonal staff during the shoebox processing season. This is a full-time, seasonal commitment that runs from November to December.

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and possess a desire to serve in a hands-on ministry. Positions are temporary, full-time (40+ hours per week, including Saturdays). Screening requirements include social media review and pastoral/spiritual mentor screen.

• DOCK TEAM MEMBER:
  Assist with loading and unloading trailers and pallets, move shoeboxes and related materials within the Processing Center; stock and palletize cartons; stage cartons for inventory; move pallets with a pallet jack and, if needed, stretch-wrap pallets under supervision.
• INVENTORY TEAM MEMBER:
  Assist in processing inventory in accordance with OCC Processing Center policies and procedures.
• QUALITY CONTROL TEAM MEMBER:
  Assist with quality control of shoebox processing and test for validation purposes.
• BARCODE SCANNER TEAM MEMBER:
  Assist with barcode labels and the Follow Your Box Label Printing Application; monitor needs from volunteers using Follow Your Box scanners during shifts; assist volunteers processing large quantities.
• FOR ALL POSITIONS:
  Keep work area clean and neat; assist with trash and broken pallet disposal.

• Able to lift and/or move 50 lbs. consistently over a shift
• Must be a team player
• Inventory and pallet jack experience
• Familiarity with trucking and/or container inventory requirements
• Familiarity with barcode scanning
