Vice President, IL Project Development - DG Solar & BESS I $ + 50% Bonus

The Role:

In this role you will act as point person for the Illinois region, driving a portfolio of greenfield community scale solar and BESS projects, from site control to construction readiness. You will be responsible for driving projects through the full project development lifecycle, utilizing the Shines program incentives, and navigating local municipalities and project stakeholders.

• In Illinois with the ability to travel across the Midwest region.
• 8+ years experience developing DG‑scale solar and energy storage projects with a proven track record developing projects in IL.
• Strong understanding of the IL Shines program.
• Strong strategic and commercial thinker with a good understanding of project economics and financial models.
• End to end development experience - from site control through to COD.
• Strong understanding of local regulations, permitting processes and key stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills, particularly in engineering and construction phases.
• Strong working knowledge of project finance, construction processes and development‑stage risk management.

• Direct line management experience would be ideal (this won't be managing a team day 1 but will be pending success of the region).
• Experience launching projects in new regions, particularly if new to the company
• Masters or MBA education.
