Salary Range: $26.00 To $32.00 Hourly
What you will do:The Media Production Shift Lead is a working leader responsible for overseeing shift operations in a 24/7 media manufacturing environment. This role combines hands‑on machine operation with leadership responsibility, ensuring safe, stable production and consistent product quality. The Shift Lead serves as the primary point of contact during the shift, coordinating operators, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining production flow. This position requires advanced process knowledge and includes extended hands‑on training, including time in Germany.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate all production activities during assigned shift
- Operate media production equipment and support operators as needed
- Serve as the primary point of contact for production issues and escalation
- Ensure safe operation and adherence to all procedures and standards
- Monitor production performance and product quality, taking action when needed
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues, working with maintenance and engineering as required
- Support startup, shutdown, and changeover activities
- Train employees on machine operation, reinforcing safety and best practices
- Coordinate shift coverage, breaks, and workflow to maintain continuous operation
- Communicate effectively with other shifts and day support teams (quality, engineering, maintenance)
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Support continuous improvement efforts and process optimization
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment required
- Demonstrated ability to lead and support a team in a production setting
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to operate and understand complex manufacturing equipment
- Willingness and ability to work a 24/7 rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work 12‑hour shifts
- Willingness to travel internationally for extended training (up to 3 months)
- Strong communication and decision‑making skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of shift performance
- Basic computer skills for data entry and process monitoring
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Forklift experience preferred
