Job Overview

As the Production Manager, you will oversee and manage the entire production process, ensuring efficient and timely production of high‑quality plastic products at our Aurora, Illinois facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with the production schedule and establish priorities and sequences for setups, samples, and production orders.
  • Review production data to plan staff operations based on quantities, specifications, and delivery dates.
  • Prepare staff schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to meet production and quality specifications.
  • Review production and operating reports, resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to minimize costs and prevent delays.
  • Inspect machines and equipment to maintain production standards.
  • Develop and revise standard operational practices; observe workers to ensure compliance.
  • Manage site safety and environmental compliance, including housekeeping and 5S.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Care, Quality, and Human Resources on local and company‑wide initiatives.
  • Address personnel matters, including salary actions and disciplinary actions, promptly and appropriately.
What You’ll Bring
  • Fluency in Spanish (read, speak, and write).
  • Strong ability to hold team members accountable and manage performance expectations.
  • Strong understanding of managing KPIs.
  • Minimum of 5 years of production management experience, preferably in rigid plastics.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes and equipment in the plastics industry.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proven experience implementing lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in production management software and tools.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
