SummaryThe Assembler/Packer position is responsible for assembling components per approved engineering drawings, packing filters, and maintaining 6S standards while ensuring product quality. The role requires working the 2nd shift and supporting production objectives.
Responsibilities- Follow assembly/packing instructions, processes, and procedures.
- Maintain process cycle time to meet established standards.
- Consistently assemble/pack throughout the shift.
- Visually inspect filters for defects.
- Work on feet for entire shift as required.
- Report issues, malfunctions, or defective parts to the Group Leader.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment per procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Be willing to cross‑train and work in all production areas as needed.
- Operate Pleater machine and other production machinery, checking for correct slab size and quality.
- Support production assembly as needed.
- Attend to any other duties assigned and complete special projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of stable work history.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedure manuals, and documentation.
- Ability to write routine reports.
- Effective spoken English with management and employees.
- Basic math skills, including use of measuring tape, multiplication of whole numbers, calculator use, and work with fractions.
- Capacity to stand and walk continuously for 4 hours or more.
- Capacity to handle product with repeated reach, arms movement, and repetitive actions throughout the shift.
- Capability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Work occurs in office, warehouse, and plant environments. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas, and employees must access and navigate all departments of the facility.
