Position: Fabricator MIG Welder/ Aurora, IL

Chase Technical Staffing is hiring MIG Welders for full‑time positions with a Metal Industrial and Furniture parts fabrication company in Aurora, IL.

MIG Welder Highlights
  • Selecting, measuring, cutting, and joining metals to specifications.
  • Monitoring parts to meet specifications.
  • Interpreting blueprints and schematics.
  • Cleansing and inspecting welding equipment & tools.
  • Maintaining minimum 1 year of MIG welding experience (TIG welding a plus).
  • Metal parts fabrication experience preferred.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
Pay & Hours

Day Shift (6:00 am – 2:30 pm) and Evening Shift (4:00 pm – 12:00 am). $18.00 – $25.00 /hour to start with opportunities for performance pay increases.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Selecting, measuring, cutting, and joining appropriate metals to specifications.
  • Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assembly.
  • Interpreting specifications and blueprints accurately.
  • Regularly cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools.
  • Determining correct gas ratios.
  • Testing the strength of each joint during and after project completion.
  • Diagnosing issues and troubleshooting as required.
  • Liaising with the line manager or supervisor, reporting any issues and making suggestions for improvement.
  • Working under the instruction of the Supervisor or Department Assistant.
  • Complying with all health and safety procedures.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Lead.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1‑2 years’ MIG welding experience (TIG welding experience a plus).
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Machine setup experience, a plus.
  • Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints preferred.
  • Excellent stamina, strength, and dexterity.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Verbal and written communication in English.
  • Sound understanding of welding safety.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to perform repetitive bending, kneeling, and lift cumbersome and/or heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Willingness to learn and work overtime when required.
