Overview
Green Bay Packaging - Performance Products & Tapes Division is expanding in Aurora, IL. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can work safely in a team-based system, schedule their work, prioritize tasks, and complete them in a timely manner. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with a focus on continuous improvement and quality workmanship. Overtime including weekends may be available.
Responsibilities- Work safely and follow all related policies and programs to assure a safe working environment.
- Report time, production, and material usage accurately.
- Set up the machine, including preparing materials and retrieving paper from storage.
- Enter production run information into a computer, including job information and measurements.
- Report irregularities, maintenance needs, and quality problems to the Production Supervisor.
- Operate, change over, start up, and clean up the machine.
- Check raw materials on hand against what is needed for each production run to prevent shortages.
- Use a ruler to verify dimensions on material to ensure a quality product.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and make recommendations to improve the process.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Other tasks and projects as assigned.
- Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous machine operator experience is preferred. Experience in slitting, coating, or printing is preferred. Good interpersonal skills and strong verbal communication are required.
Hourly pay range: $23-$30 per hour, negotiable based on experience.
