Meat Production Associate - Stock Yards

Chicago Stock Yards, Aurora, IL

1st Shift – Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm with overtime and weekends as needed.

• Prepare and pack meat products to meet production demands.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment to feed lines or prepare for the next processing stage.
• Utilize tools, processes, and materials to package meat products within scheduled times.
• Follow all Food Safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements.
• Perform visual inspections to ensure products meet specified quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.

• Must be able to work continuously in refrigerated environments (35°F–45°F) and for periods in freezer environments (−10°F to +10°F) with company‑provided apparel.
• Ability to work overtime when required.
• High school graduate or GED preferred with basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Experience in production, warehouse, or food‑processing settings preferred.
• Physical stamina for standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs frequently.

• Stand continuously; sit occasionally.
• Walk, drive, and perform light to moderate lifting tasks throughout the shift.
• Lift up to 50 lbs frequently; never lift over 100 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull, step/climb, stoop/squat, kneel, bend, and grasp objects as needed.
