Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist & Programmer to support our tooling and production operations. This role is responsible for programming, setup, and operation of Haas CNC equipment to meet engineering and production schedules. The ideal candidate has strong machining fundamentals, CAM experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CNC machining experience including setup and operation
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Working knowledge of G-code and CNC processes
  • Experience with Haas, Fanuc, or Hurco controls

Preferred:

  • Experience with Feature CAM or similar CAM software
  • Background working with small precision parts

ESSENTIAL RESULTS:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (Haas) using CAM software (Feature CAM preferred)
  • Background with Fanuc, HAAS and or Hurco controls a must
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications
  • Perform first-piece inspections and verify machining accuracy
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs, tooling, or setups as needed
  • Maintain tight tolerances on small precision parts
  • Assist in building, modifying, and repairing tooling, jigs, fixtures, and gauges
  • Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
  • Operate toolroom equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, and Bridgeport machines
  • Use precision measuring instruments to ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintain equipment and follow preventive maintenance procedures
  • Document production activity and communicate across shifts
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
  • Learn to build and repair tools from part prints, 2D electronic prints, 3D CAD detail
  • Other Duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Must be able to work overtime, including weekends
  • Must be physically capable of standing/bending /stooping/griping 8+ hour shift(s)
  • Must lift up to 30 lbs. without assistance. Anything over 30 lbs. will be a team lift.
  • Must be able to work in non-climate, non-dust-controlled areas
  • Must be able to wear required safety equipment
