Powder Coat Operator

G&W Electric Co., a global leader in power grid solutions, is seeking a Powder Coat Operator to support our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will prepare and hang parts, set up and operate powder coating equipment, and ensure consistent, high-quality finishes on metal components used in electric power distribution products. You will follow safety standards, inspect coated parts, adjust equipment settings, and perform basic maintenance and cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, clean, and hang metal parts for powder coating
• Set up and operate powder coating equipment and spray guns
• Monitor coating thickness and coverage to meet quality standards
• Inspect finished parts for defects and make adjustments as needed
• Follow safety procedures and use required PPE at all times
• Load, unload, and move materials and parts in the production area
• Perform basic equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance
• Read and follow production orders and work instructions
• Document work, counts, and quality checks as required
• Collaborate with team members to meet production and quality goals
