2D Laser machine operator

HIRING IMMEDIATELY: 2D LASER MACHINE OPERATOR IN AURORA, IL

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a 2D Laser Machine Operator to join our team in Aurora, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for operating a CNC 2D laser cutting machine and support the production team by assembling parts, operating machinery, bending, punching, or sawing metal products as instructed by supervisors. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 2 years' experience in 2D laser cutting operation, and more listed below.

• Starting at $20/hour

• 2nd shift 2pm-10:30pm
• Located in Aurora, Illinois

• Operate the CNC laser cutting machine and other machinery used in the production process, or assist other machine operators
• Select and set up lenses based on material type and thickness, load programs, and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment
• Unload machine, sort, count, organize and package cut parts
• Perform machine setups, adjusting and loading tooling, and making changes at the controls for parts as required for specifications set forth in blueprints, drawings, engineering orders, etc
• Skilled in organizing work area before and after parts are processed, stacking completed parts
• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
• Inspect all manufactured parts following work-in-process inspection methods and ensure they meet engineering specifications
• Safely remove a jam from equipment without risk or injury or damage to the equipment
• Report all machine malfunctions to Management
• May perform other duties as assigned by management

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• At least 2 years' experience in 2D laser cutting operation
• Ability to read, comprehend, follow, and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documents
• Solid background working with sheet metal
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in an effective way
• Ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision while meeting all product quality requirements.
• Basic math skills i.e. algebra, geometry, and trigonometry, required
• Ability to use a computer to operate specialty programs
• Knowledge of how to program and run a machine to cut specific parts
• Ability to read blueprints and work orders
• Open-minded, positive mindset
