Position Overview
Jewish National Fund-USA seeks a Young Leadership Fundraiser based in Chicago to grow the JNFuture community throughout the Midwest by building programs, planning, and local partnerships. The role involves identifying prospective donors, meeting them face‑to‑face, and sharing the JNF story while supporting program management and leadership development. A flexible schedule is required to meet donors’ needs and may include international travel to Israel, trainings, conferences, and meetings across the country.
Responsibilities- Solicit donations from current and new donors ages 22‑40.
- Prospect potential donors using direct methods such as calling and face‑to‑face meetings, networking, mining the Salesforce database, and utilizing social media.
- Partner with local board presidents to guide and assist JNFuture Boards and regional leadership.
- Collaborate with the events and marketing team to plan and execute local JNFuture events and programs, both in person and virtually.
- Represent JNF at various events to attract new donors and identify partnership opportunities.
- Recruit JNFuture donors for JNF tours and missions to Israel.
- Participate in weekly JNFuture team calls and weekly regional team calls.
- Conduct one‑on‑one meetings with supervisor.
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Creative self‑starter who works both independently and as a team player.
- Excellent oral and written communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Flexible and creative thinker who can find and create new giving opportunities.
- Self‑motivated, outgoing, and results oriented with the ability to set and reach ambitious goals.
- Ability to respect and maintain donor confidentiality.
- Ability to travel primarily within the region and occasionally to Israel, except for specific national conferences.
- Experience on nonprofit boards or committees is a plus.
- Days off for all work‑prohibitive Jewish holidays and secular U.S. holidays.
