Annual Compensation Package of $70,000 to $85,000 (includes salary and benefits, such as health insurance, housing allowance, annuities, etc). (Parsonage options are available for discussion.)
We are a small but faithful congregation in rural southern Illinois, committed to the clear and uncompromising teaching of the Word of God. Rooted in the historic and the authoritative and inerrant Scriptures, we desire a shepherd who will preach and live the truths of God's Word, lead us in personal holiness, and equip us to reach our families and neighbors with the Gospel.
Currently our church has the following active ministries: AWANA, Benevolent Care, Biblical Counseling (ACBC), Camp Manitoumi, Children's Church, Community Meals, Discipleship Groups (Men's and Women's), Homeschool Groups, Missionary Support, Monthly Men's Prayer Breakfasts, Music Ministries (Praise Team and Choir), Nursing Home, Shut-in visitation, Sunday School, Sunday Night Small Group, Vacation Bible School, and Youth Group You may find more about our church (including services) on the web at the following: (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).
A clear and unwavering belief in the inerrancy, authority, and sufficiency of the Bible. Agreement with our Articles of Faith and Church Covenant (see below). Experience in expository preaching and personal discipleship. A strong personal walk with Christ and a heart for shepherding people of all ages. Seminary degree preferred but not required; practical ministry experience is essential. Alignment with our on-going ministries and outreach.
Able to minister within a rural community context with grace, consistency, and patience.
Preach and teach the Word of God in regular services. Provide pastoral care, including hospital/home visits, counseling, and spiritual guidance. Lead the church in evangelism, discipleship, and biblical missions. Administer church ordinances (baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper). Uphold and lead the church in accordance with its constitution. Support and encourage unity, fellowship, and the growth of the body in Christ
