Overview
The registered nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient s status, plan of care, and goal achievement. Care is provided in a compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable fashion based on the Caring Model, exemplifies the mission, vision and values of Rush Copley, and is in accordance with policies and procedures. The registered nurse upholds ethical and safe processes while keeping patient care as the top priority.
The position works closely with the multidisciplinary team and requires an understanding of one s own limitations, seeking advice, judgment and support when necessary. The Registered Nurse/Medical Office duties include telephone triage according to established practice guidelines, patient education, medication refills, and administering injections, as necessary.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the patient s status and progress toward goals.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
- Perform telephone triage according to established practice guidelines.
- Provide patient education and support; manage medication refills as appropriate.
- Administer injections when necessary.
- Current IL RN Licensure and CPR required.
- ACLS required in all Critical Care/ER areas.
- BSN degree, if not already obtained, required within 5 years of hire.
