Registered Nurse (ED) – 3pm-3am
Hours:
3pm-3am, weekend and holiday rotation.
Requirement:
Active RN in the State of Illinois.
- Advocates for quality outcomes for patients.
- Applies nursing process to patient and family education to promote patient management of their own healthcare.
- Assesses based on patient communication of information, symptoms, and current data, combined with nursing knowledge.
- Assesses patients’ conditions and care delivery through direct observation, rounding, and data input from other team members.
- Coordinates bed and patient care assignments during the shift and in preparation for the next shift to ensure continuity of care.
- Plans and evaluates care in collaboration with appropriate disciplines.
- Analyzes assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.
- Documents and reports care delivered to physicians and other team members as needed.
- Documents assessment data, nursing interventions, and patient outcomes.
- Provides professional growth opportunities through classes related to communication, teaching, stress management, conflict resolution, and team building.
- Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes and reports data as appropriate.
- Implements care or work plan in alignment with approved safety, infection control, and organization standards.
- Pursues required knowledge and skills through orientation activities, reading current literature, and other learning opportunities.
- Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.
- Develops a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.
- Provides leadership and supervision to the health care team during the assigned shift.
- Provides performance feedback to team members and input to the Manager/Director regarding appraisals.
- Establishes effective working relationships with peers, physicians, and other members of the health care/work team.
- Supports relationship‑based care by providing compassionate, holistic care to patients, families, and co‑workers, and promoting a safe, caring, and healing environment.
- Employs teaching strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Active RN license in Illinois.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
- BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 1 year of hire.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course certification.
Estimated hourly compensation range: $37.23 – $57.71.
