Job Summary

Registered Nurse (2nd Shift) – 7:00p.m.–7:30a.m. Hours include weekend and holiday rotation. Duties include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care. The RN provides clinical leadership to the patient care team for the assigned shift.

• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses, problems, and issues.
• Assess patients’ conditions and deliver care through direct observation, rounding, and input from other team members.
• Collect relevant data, recognizing normal and abnormal findings.
• Coordinate bed and patient care assignments during shift and prepare for the next shift to ensure consistency.
• Document and report care delivered to physicians and other team members as needed.
• Enhance professional growth through annual classes (communication, teaching, stress management, conflict resolution, team building) in addition to required unit/patient specific education.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes; report data and outcomes to physician and/or other disciplines.
• Implement care and supervise care delivered by other team members in alignment with the plan of care and safety/infection control standards.
• Actively pursue required knowledge and skills through orientation activities, unit-based in‑service programs, current literature, and new clinical learning opportunities.
• Identify expected outcomes for an individualized plan for each patient or situation.
• Develop and implement a plan that prescribes strategies to attain measurable outcomes; collaborate with appropriate disciplines to plan and evaluate care.
• Provide leadership and supervision to the health care team during the assigned shift; offer performance feedback to team members and communicate with the Manager/Director regarding appraisals.
• Establish effective working relationships with peers, physicians, and other team members; collaborate with resources regarding patient care decisions.
• Serve as a strong, positive role model for other health care team members.
• Employ teaching strategies to promote health and a safe environment.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois.
• ADN (required) or B.S.N. degree.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire.

• Estimated compensation range: $37.23 – $57.71 per hour, based on experience.
• $10,000 sign‑on bonus.
