Job Summary
Registered Nurse (2nd Shift) – 7:00p.m.–7:30a.m. Hours include weekend and holiday rotation. Duties include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care. The RN provides clinical leadership to the patient care team for the assigned shift.
Responsibilities- Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses, problems, and issues.
- Assess patients’ conditions and deliver care through direct observation, rounding, and input from other team members.
- Collect relevant data, recognizing normal and abnormal findings.
- Coordinate bed and patient care assignments during shift and prepare for the next shift to ensure consistency.
- Document and report care delivered to physicians and other team members as needed.
- Enhance professional growth through annual classes (communication, teaching, stress management, conflict resolution, team building) in addition to required unit/patient specific education.
- Evaluate progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes; report data and outcomes to physician and/or other disciplines.
- Implement care and supervise care delivered by other team members in alignment with the plan of care and safety/infection control standards.
- Actively pursue required knowledge and skills through orientation activities, unit-based in‑service programs, current literature, and new clinical learning opportunities.
- Identify expected outcomes for an individualized plan for each patient or situation.
- Develop and implement a plan that prescribes strategies to attain measurable outcomes; collaborate with appropriate disciplines to plan and evaluate care.
- Provide leadership and supervision to the health care team during the assigned shift; offer performance feedback to team members and communicate with the Manager/Director regarding appraisals.
- Establish effective working relationships with peers, physicians, and other team members; collaborate with resources regarding patient care decisions.
- Serve as a strong, positive role model for other health care team members.
- Employ teaching strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois.
- ADN (required) or B.S.N. degree.
- ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
- Estimated compensation range: $37.23 – $57.71 per hour, based on experience.
- $10,000 sign‑on bonus.
