RN (Labor and Delivery) – 7pm-7:30am
*$10,000 sign‑on bonus!
Responsibilities- Assesses patients' conditions and care delivery through direct observation, rounding, and data input from other team members.
- Collects pertinent data and information relative to the patient's health or the situation. Recognizes normal and abnormal findings when gathering data.
- Coordinates bed and patient care assignments during shift and in preparation for the next shift to ensure consistency in care delivery.
- Plans and evaluates care in collaboration with appropriate disciplines for assigned patients.
- Analyzes assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnosis, problems, and issues.
- Documents and reports care delivered to physicians and other team members as needed.
- Enhances professional growth through classes related to communication, teaching, stress management, conflict resolution, and team building annually (in addition to required unit/patient‑specific education).
- Establishes effective working relationships with peers, physicians, and other members of the health‑care team. Identifies and confers with appropriate resources regarding patient‑care decisions.
- Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes. Reports data and outcomes to appropriate physician and/or other disciplines.
- Implements care and supervises care delivered by other team members in alignment with the plan of care and approved safety and infection‑control standards.
- In collaboration with Patient Care Leader/Director, actively pursues required knowledge and skills through orientation activities specific to the unit, unit‑based in‑service programs, reading current literature, and seeking new clinical learning opportunities.
- Develops a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.
- Provides leadership and supervision to health‑care team during assigned shift.
- Provides performance feedback to team members and input to Manager/Director regarding appraisals.
- Serves as a strong, positive role model for other health‑care team members.
- Employs teaching strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Active RN in the State of Illinois.
- ADN (required) or B.S.N.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – certification within 90 days of hire (Sarah Bush Lincoln).
- BLS or CPR certification – within 90 days of hire (Sarah Bush Lincoln).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification – within 1 year of hire (Sarah Bush Lincoln).
- Registered Nurse (RN) – licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
Estimated Compensation Range: $37.23 – $57.71 per hour (pay based on experience).
