Registered Nurse (2 South) – 3pm‑11pm (weekend & holiday rotation).
Sign‑on bonus: $10,000.
- Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses, problems, and issues.
- Assesses patients’ conditions and care delivery through direct observation, rounding, and data input from other team members.
- Collects pertinent data and information relative to the patient’s health or situation, and recognizes normal and abnormal findings.
- Coordinates bed and patient care assignments during shift and prepares for the next shift to ensure continuity of care.
- Documents and reports care delivered to physicians and other team members as needed.
- Enhances professional growth through classes related to communication, teaching, stress management, conflict resolution, and team building (in addition to required unit/patient‑specific education).
- Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes, reporting data and outcomes to physicians or other disciplines as appropriate.
- Implements care and supervises care delivered by other team members in alignment with the plan of care and approved safety and infection‑control standards.
- In collaboration with the Leader/Director, actively pursues required knowledge and skills through orientation activities, unit‑based in‑service programs, reading current literature, and seeking new clinical learning opportunities.
- Identifies expected outcomes for an individualized plan and develops strategies to attain measurable outcomes.
- Plans and evaluates care in collaboration with appropriate disciplines for assigned patients.
- Provides leadership and supervision to the health‑care team during the shift.
- Provides performance feedback to team members and inputs to Manager/Director regarding appraisals.
- Establishes effective working relationships with peers, physicians, and other members of the health‑care team, and collaborates with appropriate resources regarding patient‑care decisions.
- Serves as a strong, positive role model for other health‑care team members.
- Employs teaching strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Active RN license in the State of Illinois.
- ADN (Required).
- ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
Estimated hourly range: $37.23 – $57.71 (based on experience).
