Position: Wellness Nurse (Temporary)

Join our DYNAMIC team at Bickford Senior Living as a Wellness Nurse. The Wellness Nurse supports resident care within the branch, ensuring residents’ daily medication needs are met in a compassionate way that maintains their dignity, allowing them to live their life to the fullest!

Benefits

  • Part‑time (29 or fewer hours per week): eligible for voluntary life, voluntary short‑term disability, voluntary long‑term disability, accident, critical illness, identity protection, cyber monitoring. Benefits start on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment. Prescription savings plans. 401(k) with employer match. Pay available daily. Eligible for PTO.
  • PRN: eligible for 401(k) with employer match, pay available daily, eligible for PTO.
Responsibilities
  • Accurately following the resident MAR to ensure medications are given according to the Physician’s orders.
  • Understand and follow the “Six rights of medication administration” and all of Bickford’s policies and procedures regarding medication management.
  • Understand and appropriately use the eMAR system for medication administration.
  • Communicate appropriately with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication administration and care.
  • Provide direct resident care and supervise resident care work of non‑licensed team members and other areas of the branch as appropriate.
  • Lead by demonstrating the Bickford Mission “Whatever it Takes” to all other team members on shift.
Qualifications
  • Active license as an LPN or Registered Nurse in good standing.
  • Willing to take additional training or education, which specific states may require.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competent in organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to utilize or learn Bickford’s eMAR system to administer medications.
