Role Snapshot

As a Nurse Practitioner with Fox Valley Medical Associates (Aurora Location), you’ll help deliver safe, high-quality care with a collaborating physician across hospital and outpatient settings, in the Infectious Disease department. You’ll assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and stable chronic conditions; order and interpret labs/imaging; prescribe medications (including controlled substances as delegated); and document accurately in the EHR.

You’ll also counsel and teach patients and families, coordinate referrals/benefits inquiries when specialized testing is needed, support quality and compliance efforts (e.g., HIPAA/OSHA/Medicare), and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Required qualifications/skills:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program; ANCC/AANP certification
  • Current Illinois NP or PA licenses; DEA registration
  • CPT & ICD-10 coding and strong medical terminology
  • EMR/EHR proficiency (e.g., Epic, Cerner)

Your Benefits

Medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k); life insurance; competitive salary ($100,000–$145,000); and paid time off—supporting your health, financial goals, and time to recharge while building experience in Infectious Disease care.

A Typical Shift

Your day runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with an on‑call or staffing rotation. You’ll start by reviewing your schedule and recent results in the EHR, then move between clinic visits and care coordination touchpoints. Between patients, you’ll connect with physicians and staff to align plans, answer questions, and keep care moving smoothly—especially when Infectious Disease follow‑ups require timely updates. You’ll spend focused time completing notes, closing orders, and returning patient calls, with space to learn from real‑time feedback and build confidence as your clinical judgment grows.
