Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois, part of the Rush University System for Health, invites applications for two full-time APPs to join our growing Cardiology team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient-focused care to cardiology patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to assess, diagnose, and manage cardiovascular conditions.
  • Perform patient evaluations, coordinate care transitions, and participate in quality and safety initiatives.
  • Second day call coverage model, averaging approximately 40 patient‑facing hours per week, no call responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior APP experience in cardiology is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • APRN candidates must hold Acute Care Certification.
Position Requirements – Nurse Practitioner
  • Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse.
  • Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing Practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position.
  • Current certification by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
  • Maintains State of Illinois and Federal DEA license.
  • Maintains clinical privileges at Rush University Medical Center, Rush Oak Park Hospital, and Rush Copley Medical Center, as applicable.
  • CPR and ACLS certifications.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Experience treating patients of all ages.
Position Requirements – Physician Assistant
  • Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program.
  • Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
  • Maintains clinical privileges at Rush University Medical Center, Rush Oak Park Hospital, and Rush Copley Medical Center, as applicable.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Experience treating patients of all ages.
Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $108,264 – $162,385 for a full‑time, 1.0 FTE employee. Compensation may include base pay, benefits, premium pay rates, sign‑on bonuses, relocation allowances, and incentive programs. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.
