Position Overview
Rush Copley Medical Center, in Aurora, Illinois, part of the Rush University System for Health invites applications for the position of Inpatient General/Non-Invasive Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider.
Department and TeamThe Cardiology team includes one dedicated General/Non-Invasive Physician and two Advanced Practice Providers. The team collaborates closely to provide high-quality, patient-centered care, including early detection and screening programs, an outpatient chest pain center, and advanced cardiovascular techniques.
Duties & Responsibilities- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to assess, diagnose, and manage cardiovascular conditions.
- Perform patient evaluations, coordinate care transitions, and participate in quality and safety initiatives.
- Schedule:
Average 40 patient‑facing hours per week inpatient. - Enhance inpatient access and continuity of care, supporting both acute and long‑term management of cardiac patients across the continuum of care.
Nurse Practitioner
- Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain licensure through IDFPR.
- Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position.
- Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP).
- CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Physician Assistant
- Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate or eligible to obtain licensure through IDFPR.
- Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program.
- Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
- CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Pay range: $108,264 - $162,385.
