Movement Search and Delivery is working with a leading global manufacturing company in the Aurora, Illinois area to identify and evaluate an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager.

About the Role:

The EHS Manager will lead the Environmental, Health & Safety function for a 24/7 manufacturing facility, serving as the site’s primary EHS resource and a key member of the plant leadership team.

This is a highly hands-on, floor-focused position responsible for strengthening the site’s safety culture, maintaining regulatory compliance, managing environmental programs, and proactively identifying and reducing risk throughout the operation.

What You Will Do:
  • Lead and continuously improve site safety and environmental programs, policies, and management systems.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor through Gemba walks, safety meetings, inspections, and regular interaction with employees across shifts.
  • Manage OSHA and environmental compliance, including air permitting, Title V, stormwater, hazardous waste, and associated reporting and recordkeeping.
  • Lead safety audits, risk assessments, and Management of Change (MOC) activities while driving identified corrective actions through completion.
  • Identify and address critical manufacturing risks, including machine guarding, electrical safety, and equipment-related hazards.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and workplace injury/case management.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to improve equipment and process safety.
  • Develop and deliver recurring safety training, including new-hire orientation and ongoing employee training.
  • Lead the site Safety Committee and help drive employee engagement and accountability around EHS performance.
What You Need to Succeed:
  • Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and environmental compliance programs.
  • Experience with incident investigations, root cause analysis, risk assessments, and corrective action management.
  • Strong technical aptitude; knowledge of machine guarding, electrical safety, and industrial equipment hazards is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on, team-oriented leadership style with the ability to build relationships from the plant floor through senior leadership.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required.
