About the Role

A prominent CNC manufacturing facility in Aurora, IL, is looking for a skilled Quality Manager to oversee our quality management systems. You will be responsible for ensuring that all machined components align with strict customer specifications, industry benchmarks, and our internal quality standards. The ideal professional for this position will possess deep expertise in precision manufacturing and CNC machining, paired with a comprehensive grasp of quality management frameworks and the ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish.

Core Responsibilities

• Direct and maintain the integrity of our Quality Management System (QMS).
• Guarantee that all output meets customer requirements, industry standards, and internal quality goals.
• Supervise all inspection phases, including incoming, in-process, and final checks.
• Create and update essential quality documentation, such as work instructions and inspection plans.
• Execute internal audits while providing support during customer and third-party evaluations.
• Evaluate quality metrics and trends to help drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify the root causes of nonconformances and implement effective preventive and corrective measures.
• Conduct thorough reviews of customer blueprints, specifications, and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality challenges and optimize manufacturing workflows.
• Educate and mentor staff on quality best practices to elevate the overall standard of work.
• Engage directly with clients to address quality concerns and report on performance outcomes.
• Administer the calibration schedule for all inspection and measurement tools.
• Maintain strict adherence to quality standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.
• Engage in supplier quality assessments and host customer site visits.
• Compile and deliver detailed quality performance reports to the leadership team.

Qualifications and Expertise

• High school diploma or GED is required; a degree in a related field like Engineering or Manufacturing is highly preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience managing quality within a precision manufacturing or CNC job-shop setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems.
• Strong technical skills in utilizing ERP, QMS, and other manufacturing data software.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required to provide effective training and technical support to our diverse workforce.

The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $120,000 per year. This is a full-time, on-site position based on the 1st shift, with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 6:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
