The Role

Entegris is currently seeking a
Formulation Scientist, Solution Design
to join our
ICPS R&Dteam. This position will be based in our
Aurora
facility.

In this role, you willbe developing leading edge CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarization ) formulations for advanced semiconductor nodesand facilitate understanding of performance of formulations vs film properties. Your expertise in chemistry will be usedto plan and designexperiments to identify key components in slurry composition that could impactfinalpolishing performance to meet customers' needs. The scientist will also work with world class R&D teams across different sites through effective communication of ideas and results.

What You'llDo

• Work collaboratively with ourformulation SME scientists,Cleanroom Engineers, Analytical teams to developinnovativeand robust CMP slurry formulation solutions for our customers.

• Support new platform developmentthroughsystematic studies such as structure-activity relationship study, hypothesis driven research and design of experiments, etc.

• Work with R&D team to develop detailed mechanisms on interactions between different slurry components and impact on final polishing performance.

• Applysafe work practices in labs and other test environments and actively participate in site wide safety initiatives to promote a safe workplace.

• Design and execute CMP experimentsat lab scale with coupons andwith
  
  Cleanroomengineering team to validateslurry performance onfull scaletest& patternwafers.

• Analyze outcomes of experiments using advanced statistical tools and be able to use those results to logically plan future experiments.

• Create technical presentations and present your findingswithin R&Dteams and other internal stakeholders.

What We Seek

• MS/Ph D in chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer chemistry, Physical chemistry and related field. +2years experience for PhD, +7years experience for MS

• Strong ability to design, executeexperimentsandinterpret results to effectively communicate key findingsthat elucidate mechanismsor properties of individual components in the mix.

• Participation incompanywide & site-specificsafety initiatives and a strong dedication to a safety-first culture

• Experience working withfilms, inorganic or organometallicchemistry, additives, surfactants,or particlesina laboratory environment.

• Demonstrated independence in successfully completingassigned projects, either individually orin collaboration with internal/external research groups

• Clear Communication and collaboration with different groups to achieve desired results

• Data analysis for formulation improvement by statistical methods

Compensation: $100,000 to $115,000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
