Responsibilities- The Asian Specialty Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality Asian cuisine, ensuring consistency, presentation, and adherence to food safety standards. This role maintains kitchen operations, supports culinary staff, and delivers excellent guest dining experiences.
- Prepare and cook a variety of Asian dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and plating of all menu items
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of workstations and kitchen equipment
- Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs to management
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and regulatory guidelines at all times
- Collaborate with culinary team to maintain consistent menu quality
- Assist with training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff
- Participate in menu development, recipe testing, and daily specials as needed
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and standards of excellence
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience as a cook specializing in Asian cuisine preferred
- Knowledge of traditional cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
