Position SummaryLine Cooks at The Orchard Social are responsible for executing a consistent, high‑quality product across all service periods. This includes prep work, station execution, and maintaining strict adherence to standardized recipes, food safety systems, and kitchen organization.
This role is hands‑on and detail‑driven—balancing speed with precision in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Pay Range: $18–$20
What You’ll Be Doing- Prepare and execute menu items across stations with consistency and attention to detail
- Follow standardized recipes, plating guides, and portion controls without deviation
- Assist with daily prep, station setup, and breakdown
- Accurately document food holding temperatures and maintain food safety logs
- Maintain proper food storage, labeling, rotation (FIFO), and organization
- Support inventory processes, including receiving and storage of product
- Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas
- Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure smooth, efficient service
- Stay open to learning new techniques, ingredients, and globally inspired cuisines
- A genuine passion for food, cooking, and the guest experience
- Ability to work clean, organized, and with urgency in a fast‑paced kitchen
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures
- Serv Safe Food Handler Certification (required or ability to obtain)
- Dependability and a team‑first mindset
- Willingness to take direction and continuously improve
- Basic kitchen experience preferred, but attitude and work ethic matter just as much
- 100% accountability for the quality of every dish leaving your station
- Full compliance with Department of Health regulations and internal food safety systems
