Position: Full-time Sales Teammate

Summary

The Sales Teammate position’s primary responsibility is to fulfill our mission statement: "To create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests." Additionally, Sales Teammates perform a variety of sales, merchandising, and operational tasks assigned by store management such as cashiering, merchandise display and pulls, register procedures, and routine cleaning of facilities.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $15-$19/hr (estimated base rate plus commission). Final offers are based on factors such as skill set, experience, location, and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service to each guest.
  • Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
  • Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on guest needs.
  • Anticipate and fulfill guest needs by suggesting additional items and creating a wardrobe experience.
  • Demonstrate product knowledge and sales education consistently with the team.
  • Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, payment and exchange policies, and security practices.
  • Achieve personal sales‑per‑hour, average sales, and total net sales goals set by store management.
  • Provide legendary service throughout the store in front‑5, sales floor, fitting rooms, and register areas.
  • Help guests try on or fit merchandise, check out and bag purchases, and prepare merchandise for alterations.
  • Handle all exchange and return procedures and turn them into showmanship opportunities.
  • Fill out and use the Sales Presentation Guide daily to accomplish goals.
  • Meet or exceed performance standards in guest loyalty, fit appointments, and other business‑builder metrics.
  • Place special orders or call other stores to find desired merchandise.
  • Build and maintain good guest relationships to develop a client‑based business.
  • Consistently perform leadership actions and maintain high standards.
  • Recruit teammates using relevant channels and create relationships through guest loyalty programs.
  • Present merchandise to maximize sales and achieve optimal merchandise turnover.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
  • Open and close cash registers, balance cash drawers, and make deposits.
  • Recognize security risks, prevent theft, and follow loss‑prevention guidelines.
  • Manage point‑of‑sale procedures, payments, exchanges, and loss‑prevention practices.
  • Perform merchandising tasks: freight handling, re‑merchandising, display preparation, markdowns, and transfers.
  • Communicate policy violations and concerns to appropriate managers or HR.
  • Carry out special projects and other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

No prior experience or training required. Basic customer service and cashier skills, along with any relevant experience, are preferred.

Physical Demands

The job requires standing, walking, reaching, climbing, kneeling, squatting, and the ability to lift and maneuver 30 lbs. Specific vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a retail store environment with moderate noise levels.
