The Job at a Glance

The Business Development Specialist (internally known as PARTnership Builder) is responsible for finding, developing, and maintaining relationships with service contractors. You will proactively manage your day by placing a high volume of outbound calls; you see each phone call as an opportunity to form a personal connection with customers and learn their challenges to utilize the Parts Town value proposition to find solutions.

You describe yourself as proactive and have a passion for facilitating all aspects of the sales process including identifying new opportunities, developing sales solutions, closing sales opportunities, negotiating pricing, and providing outstanding customer service and follow-up.

The Typical Day
  • Place 60 outbound calls daily to new and existing customers.
  • Identify, cultivate, and build new customer partnerships in the commercial food service and HVAC industries by understanding their problems/needs and utilizing the Parts Town value proposition and solutions to solve them.
  • Build in-depth knowledge on commercial food service and HVAC industry trends and customer needs.
  • Drive revenue by prospecting and building a pipeline while fostering relationships with potential and existing customers nationwide.
  • Integrate all sales activities into CRM () for timely, accurate reporting.
  • Conduct research on accounts to understand their business and where Parts Town can be a solution to their parts needs.
  • Partner with Customer Experience team members to grow customer relationships.
  • Educate customers on Parts Town resources and capabilities (electronic resources, technical support, manufacturer relationships, etc.).
To Land This Opportunity
  • 1–3 years of experience in inside sales, business development, customer service or account management
  • Bonus points if you have experience in the commercial food service or HVAC industries
  • Passionate about building something new and solving problems
  • Proactive and organized – taking initiative and following through are a must
  • Resilient – you see rejection as an exciting challenge
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English (verbal and written)

Compensation and Benefits

At Parts Town, we value transparency and are committed to ensuring our team members feel appreciated and supported. The salary range for this role is $55,094.88–$74,352.58 annually ($26.48–$35.74 hourly), based on qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay-for-performance company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program and an annual bonus depending on the role.
