Market Development Manager – Chicago, IL

This territory‐based role supports Progressive Leasing’s growth by driving gross merchandise value (GMV) and lease‑to‑own adoption in a specific zip code region of Chicago. The position requires a strong sales background, the ability to build relationships with retail partners, and up to 50% travel.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
  • Consistently engage field leadership to communicate our retailer and customer value propositions and align on mutual business objectives.
  • Conduct business reviews with retail partner field leadership to identify opportunities and develop strategies and tactics to overcome growth inhibitors.
  • Work with business leaders to influence and motivate them to meet and exceed commitments and drive channel sales.
  • Educate and inform teams on products, solutions and technology available to drive channel.
  • Work cross‑functionally to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways and suggest variations in approach to field and account management.
  • Use insights and data, coordinate with people managers across sales to ensure necessary field support for retail partner locations.
  • Create strategic plans that can be effectively communicated and executed across teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Use  (or equivalent CRM) to track activities, resolve issues and share work progress.
  • Consistently exceed GMV targets and grow LTO applications through strategic execution.
  • Resolve compliance cases to ensure retailers accurately represent Progressive Leasing solutions in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • Experience in the wireless industry (preferred).
  • 6+ years of relevant sales and/or channel management experience.
  • Sales growth‑oriented professional with a proven record of exceeding quota and growing channel business.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (mileage reimbursement provided).
  • Ability to communicate goals, gain commitments and drive accountability across channel.
  • Exceptional collaboration, relationship building and interpersonal skills at all levels.
  • Experience with  or other CRM tools.
  • Ability to build successful business plans and secure commitments with leaders.
