Role Description

This full‑time, on‑site Business Development Representative/Sales Development Representative role is based in the Greater Chicago Area. The person in this role will identify and qualify new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails, social outreach, and event follow‑up, focusing on target industries such as data centers, healthcare, manufacturing, and commercial facilities. Daily responsibilities include managing a prospect pipeline, conducting discovery conversations, scheduling meetings and product demos for the sales team, and maintaining accurate records in the CRM.

The role involves collaborating closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to refine messaging, support campaigns, and provide feedback on market trends and customer needs. The BDR/SDR will also research accounts, prepare tailored outreach, and represent Rensa Filtration’s value proposition in a professional, solutions‑focused manner.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skills in outbound prospecting, lead generation, and opportunity qualification in a B2B environment.
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce or similar), sales engagement platforms, and basic proficiency with MS Office or Google Workspace.
  • Strong communication, active listening, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical or product concepts in clear, customer‑focused terms.
  • Skills in research, account profiling, and territory planning to identify decision‑makers and prioritize high‑potential prospects.
  • Organizational and time‑management skills, including managing multiple tasks, following structured sales processes, and meeting activity and pipeline goals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams (sales, marketing, operations) and contribute to continuous improvement of outreach strategies.
  • Prior experience in inside sales, business development, or sales development; experience in industrial, manufacturing, HVAC, or filtration markets is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
