Membership Associate

Family owned and operated for over 45 years, Wheaton Sport Center is Chicagoland's premier full-service health and racquet club. We are seeking three outgoing, motivated Membership Sales Associates to join our team. As a Membership Sales Associate, you'll be one of the first people prospective members meet. You'll create exceptional first impressions, guide guests through the club, understand their fitness goals, and help them find the membership that best fits their needs. Success in this role comes from providing outstanding service while confidently closing sales and building lasting relationships with members.

Responsibilities

• Welcome prospective members and guests with a friendly, professional, and hospitality-driven approach.
• Conduct club tours, perform needs assessments, and recommend memberships that best fit each individual's goals.
• Meet and exceed individual membership sales and retention goals through relationship-based selling.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline by following up on leads, referrals, and prospective members using the club's CRM system.
• Generate new business through networking, community outreach, referrals, and club events.
• Maintain accurate membership records, contracts, and sales documentation in a timely manner.
• Educate members and guests on club amenities, programs, services, pricing, promotions, and policies.
• Respond promptly to phone, email, and in-person inquiries while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Assist with member account updates, resolve concerns professionally, and support member retention efforts.
• Participate in team meetings, ongoing training, and collaborate with fellow team members to deliver an exceptional member experience.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of sales, customer service, hospitality, or fitness industry experience and Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Passion for health, fitness, and helping others achieve their wellness goals.
• Friendly, energetic, and outgoing personality with a genuine desire to build relationships.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable asking for the sale and working toward individual and team sales goals.
• Organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, email, and CRM systems.
• Ability to stand, walk throughout the club, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Flexible availability to support business needs, including some evenings and weekends

What We Offer

• Part-time schedule of approximately 20-25 hours per week
• $17.50-$22.00 per hour, based on experience, plus commission opportunities
