Precision Tool Sales Representative

Join Mitutoyo America Corporation, the industry leader in precision measuring instruments and metrology solutions. We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and relationship-driven Precision Tool Sales Representative to strengthen and expand our distributor network throughout the United States.

This position is ideal for a sales professional who enjoys building strong business relationships, developing distributor partnerships, delivering product training, and driving sales growth through strategic marketing initiatives. As a Precision Tool Sales Representative, you will:

• Develop and strengthen relationships with Mitutoyo distributors to increase market share and product penetration.
• Identify distributor strengths, target industries, and growth opportunities within assigned territories.
• Create and implement ongoing distributor product training programs.
• Develop sales and marketing incentive programs that drive distributor engagement and sales performance.
• Create sales tools and marketing resources that help distributors effectively promote Mitutoyo products.
• Coordinate product updates, newsletters, promotional materials, and sales communications.
• Partner with Regional Managers and Sales Representatives to evaluate distributor's performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Plan and coordinate distributor open houses, customer events, and promotional activities.
• Develop distributor recognition and appreciation programs that build long-term loyalty.
• Assist in developing corrective action plans for underperforming distributors.
• Maintain accurate customer and distributor information within the company's CRM system.

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of professional sales experience, preferably working with distributors or industrial products.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining strong customer and distributor relationships.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Experience using CRM software.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience selling industrial, manufacturing, tooling, metrology, or precision measurement products.
• Experience conducting distributor training and product presentations.
• Knowledge of industrial distribution channels and manufacturing markets.

Travel Requirements:

• Up to 75% travel
• Frequent overnight travel
• Average driving time of up to five hours per day
• Attendance at customer visits, distributor meetings, trade shows, and industry events

• Full-Time
• Monday – Friday
