As a Security Officer Patrol in Aurora, IL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a transportation location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help reduce security-related concerns. • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and assigned areas to help support authorized access, observe daily activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Assist with incident reporting, routine observations, and shift communications to help support orderly operations and consistent security-related coverage throughout the location.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
