OverviewAs a Security Officer
- Part Time
- Weekends in Aurora, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Food/Beverage and more. You will monitor access points, verify credentials, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and routine patrols. This role blends customer service, communication, and attention to detail while supporting daily operations. Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $18.72 / Hour
Job Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Responsibilities- Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at the location.
- Monitor entrances, gates, and designated checkpoints to help control access to authorized areas, report unusual activity, and communicate security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response procedures appropriate for a food and beverage location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including perimeter points and access-sensitive spaces, to help identify security-related issues and report maintenance, policy, and operational concerns.
- Assist with visitor management, delivery and vehicle access, key and badge accountability, and completion of required logs, reports, and other documentation to support daily operations.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
