Warehouse Maintenance Technician

Ryder is immediately hiring a Warehouse Maintenance Technician in North Aurora, IL.

Pay and Schedule
  • Hourly Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
  • Schedule:

    First Shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
Equipment and Experience
  • Equipment:
    Scissor Lift, Laptop. Requires 2 years of building maintenance and general HVAC and electrical repair experience.
  • Must have a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle within the area.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years plant/warehouse general maintenance experience, including electrical and mechanical repair and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to make quick, reliable decisions that represent both the customer and Ryder.
  • Good organizational, communication, and planning skills.
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred.
  • Experience operating forklift equipment required.
  • Equipment certification may be required.
Responsibilities
  • Performs maintenance and troubleshooting functions on all warehousing equipment independently and effectively.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots plant utility systems including fire protection, water, electrical, air, and vacuum as applicable.
  • Understands shop maintenance, parts inventory, parts ordering, and plant reporting systems.
  • Performs routine forklift repairs.
  • Maintains batteries and related equipment.
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) and maintains records of repairs.
  • If required, provides training, including aspects of safety, quality, sanitation, and efficiency of packaging/warehouse equipment, for operations associates.
  • Additional duties as assigned, overtime as needed.
