We are looking for a dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our facilities management team. In this role, you will inspect the property to identify necessary repairs. Whenever possible, you will complete the repairs yourself or with other members of our maintenance team. Our ideal candidate has some carpentry experience and is knowledgeable about various hand and power tools. You may also be asked to perform maintenance on our plumbing or electrical system, so any experience in these areas is a major plus.
As part of our maintenance team, you should feel comfortable assisting with landscaping and cleaning tasks as needed. Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are encouraged to apply
- Performs basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards.
- Assists with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving furniture or materials within the facility.
- Inspect the property to identify necessary repairs or updates.
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Assist with grounds maintenance tasks including shoveling walkways and removing trash.
- Works with or assists trades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts based on our most likely needs.
- Utilizes a work order system to log activities as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Facilities maintenance or carpentry experience (preferred)
- Specialized experience with plumbing, electrical, or HVAC systems (a plus)
- EPA certification (a plus)
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
- Physical stamina to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
- 2-5 years facilities experience preferred.
- Ability to sit, stand and walk long distances daily.
- Ability to lift 45 lbs
