Job SummaryTIG Welder will be responsible for welding, cutting, and brazing metal pieces and products by using flame‑cutting and hand welding equipment.
Essential Functions- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel components
- Plan details of work order procedures; gather required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions
- Repair and fabricate various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.
- Monitor the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.
- Prepare, assemble, and tack weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
- Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and the work area.
- Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding including designs, uses, maintenance and repair.
- Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models, and blueprints.
- Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.
- Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.
- Must pass Skill Assessment for Tape Measure and Welding Test.
- Completion of a Mac Medical apprenticeship, Welding Certificate, or 3 years TIG experience.
- Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.
- Must have sufficient manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
- Must be able to see details at close range.
- Must be able to lift up to 85 pounds at times.
- Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Employee must be able to safely wear and use required personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include welding helmets, face shields, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, respirators, protective clothing, and steel‑toed footwear.
- Must be able to work on hard concrete surfaces for full shifts while maintaining safe body mechanics and awareness of surrounding equipment, traffic, and co‑workers.
- Must be able to understand, follow, and adhere to all OSHA regulations, workplace safety rules, lockout/tagout procedures, hazard communication standards, and company safety policies.

Starting Pay Rate: $20-$24, depending on experience
