Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring HVAC Foreman in Aurora, IL. The HVAC Foreman oversees field operations for multi-family, commercial, and retail projects, ensuring high-quality installation and timely completion of HVAC systems. This role is responsible for managing on-site crews, coordinating with other trades, and maintaining strict adherence to safety and industry standards to ensure project success.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30 to $45 Per Hour BOE
Responsibilities- Lead and supervise HVAC installation crews on multi-family, commercial, and retail job sites
- Review blueprints and project specifications to ensure accurate installation of ductwork and mechanical equipment
- Coordinate daily project activities, assign tasks to installers, and manage subcontractor activities
- Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure all field personnel follow OSHA and company safety protocols
- Perform daily quality inspections to ensure work meets SMACNA standards and project-specific requirements
- Communicate project progress, fabrication needs, and material forecasts to the Field Superintendent daily
- Maintain organized job sites, ensuring proper housekeeping and the elimination of trip hazards
- Document project milestones through daily reports and jobsite photography for craftsmanship verification
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues on-site and provide technical guidance to field personnel
- Interface with customers and other trade foremen to ensure seamless project coordination and scheduling
- Proven experience as an HVAC Foreman or Lead Installer, specifically within multi-family or commercial sectors
- In-depth knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, ductwork installation, and mechanical equipment start-ups
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical schematics
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, mentor, and motivate field crews
- Familiarity with SMACNA standards and local building codes for commercial and retail construction
- Excellent communication and organizational skills for managing multiple project components
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50-75 pounds regularly
- Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and work at heights such as rooftops
- Must be able to work in tight or confined spaces, including ductwork and crawlspaces
- Capable of working in inclement weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
- Must have manual dexterity and excellent hand‑eye coordination for precision tasks
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and walk for prolonged periods of time
The anticipated pay range for this position is $30 to $45 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
