Apartment Maintenance Technician

The Aventine at Oakhurst North Community in Aurora, IL, is hiring an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician.

Position details:
Location: Aurora, IL.

• Prioritize and complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion.
• Keep the community clean and well maintained.
• Respond to a wide variety of residential service requests using troubleshooting skills in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare apartment homes for rent.
• Maintain material and supply inventory.
• Oversee work performed by outside contractors.
• Report any unresolved maintenance issues or concerns to management.
• Work on-call hours in a weekly rotation among a staff of five.

• Previous experience (at least 2 years) in a technician position in the apartment industry.
• Possession of tools needed to perform routine maintenance tasks; must have own general tools.
• Dedication to exceeding customer needs and building relationships.
• Demonstrate thoroughness, accuracy, and organization when accomplishing tasks.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Detail-oriented and deadline-focused.
• Proficient in electronic communication.
• Team player.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
