The primary purpose of this role is to perform pest‑management services for residential customers. Responsibilities include identifying and eliminating pests from residential properties through inspections, treatments, and preventive education.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections to identify signs of infestations and entry points.
- Apply approved pest control products (chemicals, baits, traps) while adhering to safety standards.
- Educate customers on pest prevention and maintenance.
- Build relationships with customers, schedule appointments, assist in sales, and expand product usage.
- Maintain, stock, and ensure all equipment is in working condition.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control.
- Drive and safely operate a company‑provided service vehicle.
- Work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
- Operate around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, and scaffolding.
- Handle fumes, dust, and chemicals with proper training and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work both inside and outside in local climate conditions using company‑provided weather gear.
- Be physically active: moving, sitting, climbing, balancing, crouching, crawling, and using ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
- Wear an OSHA‑compliant respirator and other PPE.
- Clean shaven face for safety reasons (rebreather fit).
- High school diploma or GED; related experience/training or equivalent education/experience.
- Valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
- Required licenses/certificates as mandated by federal, state, or local regulations (covered by the company).
- Availability to work Monday‑Friday and weekends as needed.
- Openness to learning and gaining knowledge in all pest‑control areas.
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills for mixing product instructions.
- Customer‑facing experience preferred.
