Position Summary

The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking, scanning, labeling, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product. This individual is also responsible for counting and inspecting product and notifying leadership when there are damages or discrepancies. These Associates are accountable for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and will be expected to perform all duties as assigned. As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet company objectives in performance, safety, and quality, and to comply with all corporate and site‑specific policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Using a pallet jack to accurately pick orders to fulfill client demands; efficiently and accurately pick products and stage them in appropriate areas. Stack, package, band, shrink wrap and label products as per client requirements. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform quality control functions using appropriate documentation to ensure all products and orders are received, handled and shipped correctly. Verify products meet quality standards and report damages or discrepancies. Stack, package, shrink wrap and label products per SOPs.
  • Execute all safety protocols and perform job tasks in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the facility, and assist in warehouse security.
  • Comply with all SOPs, corporate and site‑specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS Standards.
  • Operate equipment (pallet jack, etc.) used for assigned duties. Keep equipment in good working condition and report problems promptly.
  • Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, following prescribed work methods.
  • Assist with building, grounds and equipment maintenance as assigned.
  • Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Minimum

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
  • Ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months ranging from mild to moderate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six months experience working in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.
  • Current or prior Material Handling Equipment (MHE) certification.
Physical Demands
  • Occasional handling/fingering, sitting.
  • Frequently bending.
  • Constantly walking and standing.
  • Ability to lift, carry and push/pull 21‑50 pounds; reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
