Salary Range: $28.00 To $30.00 Hourly
SUMMARY:
The CDL Semi Driver supports field operations by safely transporting materials, equipment, and tools to and from solar and wireless job sites. This role is primarily responsible for operating semi-trucks and large trailers to haul multiple pieces of equipment, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to support project execution. The position may also assist with loading/unloading, equipment coordination, and general logistics support as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Operate Class A CDL vehicles including semi-trucks and large trailers to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites, vendors, and staging areas
- Haul multiple pieces of equipment (e.g., skid steers, lifts, trailers, solar racking/materials, wireless components) safely and efficiently
- Secure loads in compliance with DOT and company safety standards
- Plan routes and coordinate deliveries to align with project schedules and field needs
- Ensure all delivery documentation (bill of lading, pick lists, etc.) is accurate and completed properly
- Verify transported goods match bills of materials and report discrepancies
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle logs per DOT requirements
- Identify and report any equipment or material damage
- Support field teams with loading and unloading of materials and equipment
- Assist with staging, organizing, and tracking materials as needed
- Maintain clean and safe vehicles, trailers, and equipment
- Follow all safety protocols and promote a strong safety culture
- Assist warehouse or yard operations as needed
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Valid Class A CDL (Required) with air brake endorsement
- Demonstrated ability to operate semi-trucks and haul large trailers with multiple pieces of equipment
- Clean driving record and ability to maintain DOT compliance
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Working knowledge of DOT and MNDOT regulations
- Experience securing heavy equipment and materials for transport
- Ability to safely load/unload equipment and materials
- Strong communication skills with field teams, vendors, and internal staff
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time to various job sites, including overnight and out-of-state travel as needed.
- Certifications:
OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred qualifications are:
- Experience supporting solar, construction, or wireless/tower operations
- Equipment operation experience (e.g., skid steer, telehandler, lifts)
- 1+ years of CDL driving experience in construction or similar environment
- High School Diploma or GED
