Truck Driver - Class A Flex

Average Salary

• Average $120,000 annually
• Travel required, up to 100 percent

• Travel regionally to work at various locations as needed
• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
• Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
• Use scanner to record products as they are unloaded and delivered

• Dispatch times will vary depending on work assignment
• Drivers can expect to be away from home 2 to 3 weeks per assignment
• Drivers will travel to assigned location and work from there for the duration of the assignment

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or be able to obtain, a non-exempt interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor‑trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor‑trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• English language proficiency required to comply with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
• Work the required schedule, work at the specified location, complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening
• Position regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive; must maintain a constant state of alertness and work safely, accepting responsibility for own safety and that of others

• Must be able to see and hear; specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
• Must be able to move frequently, stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with arms, lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) routinely and 100 lbs (45 kg) occasionally
• Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area
