Opportunity DetailsSchedule:
Monday – Friday, 7:30 – 4:30 pm (hours vary depending on business needs)
Salary:
Base $56,200.00 – $74,500.00. Bonus eligible based on performance and location results.

Provide operational leadership to individual contributors and hourly workforce to ensure execution of daily activities including driver deliveries, loading/unloading of trailers, and customer service operations. Oversee people, systems, customer needs, equipment and scheduling. Manage performance of direct reports, make corrective action and disciplinary decisions up to written warning level, and participate in hiring and customer meetings as needed.
Major Responsibilities People- Ensure supervisors and associates are trained, competent, and understand how their work aligns with customer business objectives
- Communicate specific, measurable performance standards
- Interview hourly associates and recommend candidates for hire
- Monitor attendance, productivity, and other performance metrics; provide coaching and counseling
- Motivate and engage associates through team accomplishments and recognition
- Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading/unloading, dispatch, and documentation
- Conduct team meetings
- Recommend changes in work methods to increase dispatch productivity; assist in new associate training
- Provide relief coverage when associates use time‑off or are absent from the shift
- Maintain thorough knowledge of site operating systems for compliance and exception resolution
- Complete all records and reports accurately and timely
- Ensure compliance with financial policies & procedures such as tracking MPG, returns, damages, etc.
- Understand the relationship between decisions and profitability
- Manage associates’ working hours and activities to control overtime and meet productivity targets
- Align day‑to‑day associate activities with the location safety strategy
- Provide training, feedback, and direction to ensure safe performance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and company policies
- Conduct safety observations
- Understand and exceed location‑specific customer goals & objectives
- Show commitment to helping customers meet their objectives
- Identify areas for continuous improvement
- Plan work assignments to use fleet equipment effectively
- Ensure associates understand safe and efficient equipment operation
- Coordinate with vendors to maintain equipment
- Work with Penske Truck Leasing to complete preventative maintenance schedules
- Execute additional projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to build rapport with associates and customers
- Efficient independent work with strong time‑management and organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills, active listening ability required
- Problem‑solving, critical thinking, and independent decision‑making skills
- Ability to drive process improvement and lead change
- Proficient computer skills:
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point - Ownership and sense of urgency in running the operation
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
- Regular, predictable, full attendance essential
- Willingness to travel as needed; comply with background check, drug screening, and application requirements
- Representative physical and mental demands include reading, verbal and written communication, remembering and analyzing information, and understanding instructions
- Stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; lift up to 25 lbs (12 kg)
