Location:
Aurora, IL Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday (30-minute unpaid lunch break; includes one 20-minute break) Overtime:
Must be willing to work overtime as needed, including occasional weekend shifts. Advance notice will be provided for any schedule changes, which may include starting shifts two hours early or extending shifts by two hours.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Forklift Driver to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient operation and servicing of various mechanical and motorized equipment, primarily forklifts and hand trucks, ensuring the safe movement of goods throughout our facility. Your expertise in logistics, materials management, and safety protocols will be essential in meeting our operational goals.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently during the receiving, processing, storage, and shipping of materials.
- Ensure safe movement of materials, including entering and exiting trailers, while prioritizing the safety of yourself and your colleagues.
- Verify quantities, parts, destinations, and timing prior to the movement of materials, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all operations.
- Lead and assist in the use of equipment for weighing, banding, wrapping, and packaging materials, maintaining high standards of quality.
- Conduct routine servicing and maintenance of forklifts and other equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
- Collaborate with management and effectively communicate to fulfill other tasks as assigned.
- Ability to engage in frequent walking, standing, carrying, reaching, and stooping.
- Capability to lift, lower, push, or pull various items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working from heights of up to 20 feet.
- Adaptable to working in environments with fluctuating temperatures.
