The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for operating material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count. Computer data entry is required for receipts, shipments, and inventory maintenance. The Associate assists the supervisor/manager in ensuring the facility complies with quality standards and company policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Maintain accurate warehouse inventory
- Direct customer interface to answer questions and resolve issues
- Return material coming from customer to factory
- Transfer material to the appropriate area
- Relocate material to keep and maintain inventory range and locations
- Operate all equipment safely
- Function autonomously, reporting progress and issues to supervisor/management
- Follow company policies, guidelines, and procedures
- Maintain appropriate records and reports to ensure inventory control and security; conduct physical inventory; assist in daily/monthly cycle counts; support shipping/receiving in locating missing items
- Perform safety audits; report and correct unsafe operations
- Participate in daily start‑up and staff meetings as required; assist supervision as needed
- Use PC skills for e‑mail and generating reports as required
- Initiate actions to prevent non‑conformities and recommend solutions through designated channels; verify implementation of solutions
- Review/investigate inbound/outbound functions including unloading, checking, stacking, storing, order pulling, staging, labeling, and loading; ship material to factory on client requests; notify management when procedures require updates
- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area; perform housekeeping audits
- Assist leadership as needed
- Work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends as required; participate in cross‑training activities to broaden skill set
- Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary

- High school diploma or GED
- 6 months experience in logistics, distribution, or a relevant environment
- Ability to operate MHE
- Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months (mild to moderate)
- Completion of a forklift training program
- Basic computer skills
- RF Scanners
- WMS functions
- English (reading, writing, verbal)
- Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities, count inventory, or perform other duties
- Strong attention to detail and accurate completion of tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
- Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced work environment
- 1‑3 years of experience in an inventory department
- 1‑3 years of forklift experience
- Current or prior MHE certification
- Occasionally:

Walk and stand - Lift/Carry and push/pull 21‑50 pounds; reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel
Typical work environment involves low to moderate noise levels and minimal exposure to fumes or airborne particles. Use of PPE as required.
