Material Handler – Aurora, IL
POSITION SUMMARYThe General Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking, scanning, labeling, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product. They also count and inspect product, notifying leadership of damages or discrepancies. Associates are accountable for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and will perform all duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPicking Responsibilities
- Use a pallet jack to accurately pick orders and stage them properly.
- Stack, package, band, shrink-wrap, and label products according to client requirements.
- Process all picking functions per Standard Operating Procedures.
Quality Control Responsibilities
- Use documentation to ensure all products and orders are received, handled, and shipped correctly.
- Verify product and order quality, reporting damages or discrepancies.
- Pack, shrink-wrap, and label products as needed.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures.
Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance
- Execute all safety protocols and perform job tasks safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the facility.
- Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site‑specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS standards.
Equipment Operation
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Maintain equipment and report problems.
- Assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
Other Duties
- Work overtime as dictated by business.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures ranging from mild to moderate.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
- None
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Basic to intermediate math skills to verify product quantities and inventory.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks timely.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Adaptability to change in a fast‑paced environment.
- Computer use:
None. - Language:
English (reading, writing, verbal).
- 6 months experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Current or prior MHE certification.
- Handling/Fingering, Sitting:
Occasionally. - Bending:
Frequently. - Walking and Standing:
Constantly. - Lift/Carry and Push/Pull: 21-50 pounds (with overhead reach, squat, or kneel).
The employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is usually low to moderate.

COMPENSATIONThe expected base pay range for this position is $16.94 to $18.94 per hour, adjusted based on experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
